The new sections of the great wall, found in Jilin Province, were built during the Qin and Han dynasties.

The new sections were found as part of a project to measure the length of the wall during the Qin and Han Dynasties. Archeological research the Great Wall of China continues. It was not previously known that the Qin and Han Dynasties built wall sections in Jilin Province.
